Orgasmic Birth

This is a film project developed by Debra Pascali-Bonaro, a childbirth educator, doula, international speaker and leadership member of the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services, CIMS. We are very excited to say that the film has now been released to rave reviews around the world and that it is coming to be screened in Wellington, New Zealand in September 2008. It will be shown as a fundraiser for the local non-profit organisation, Birth Wise, that offers a naturally focused childbirth and early parenting course to Wellingtonians. The screening is also to raise awareness about, and some funds for, the "Birth Centre for Wellington project".

Debra visited New Zealand in September 2004 and was able to film the wonderfully gentle birth of Jack Chapman, born to Renee Perkins and Jeff Chapman in Titahi Bay, Wellington on 15th September with wonderful care from their Wellington-based midwife, Liz Brunton. Jack's birth is one of those included in the final cut of the film "Orgasmic Birth". For a brief background on the making of the film click here.
