The Big Latch On 2008 - Wellington Region
Nationwide Latch On - Friday 1st August 2008
Thank you to everyone who came along to join us in Wellington at the Southern Cross.
We had 33 mothers breastfeeding their babies between 10:30-10:31am.
As a total result for the Wellington region we counted 147 mothers latching on at the same time! As below:
- Southern Cross, Wellington City 33
- Ministry of Health, Wellington City 33
- Lower Hutt 29
- Masterton 26
- Porirua 12
- Tawa 11
- Levin 2
- Otaki 1
Well done everyone!
Nationwide our total was 1122 which smashed last year's record of 937 - so what a brilliant result! Each year we get more and more breastfeeding mums participating which just shows that we are a nation that supports breastfeeding - yay!
A huge thank you too, to the Southern Cross for providing us with such a wonderful venue and to all the staff there that worked so hard to provide hungry breastfeeding mothers with a great drink and scrummy muffin deal.
