Vida was amazing in all areas of her Doula skills - she was always a comfort for myself, my baby, my 3 year old son and my husband. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her - from massage for the baby (she had colic for the first 10 weeks) to playing and giving attention to my son and cooking wonderful meals - especially for my husband and I in the evenings. Her communication skills were perfect - both towards the children and myself - an excellent listener and diplomat. If she was put under pressure, she was an extremely calming influence and always thought of a way to deal with any difficult situation without becoming stressed. Vida's attitude towards work was always positive and cheerful - from emotional support to domestic jobs. She was always very flexible and reliable. My husband felt totally at ease with Vida and she had a wonderful way of including him during the times they met and helping if he had any queries. My son became very fond of Vida - especially during periods of the day when I couldn't give him time for play etc... Vida is an honest and very reliable Doula. I felt very confident when she worked for us, as if she was a member of the family, like a sister/mother figure. I always looked forward to when she would come for the day and be a friend to listen and give me encouragement. I cannot recommend Vida highly enough. She has a great many talents and skills with newborn babies as well as adults... she is a very talented and natural Doula.

I always found Vida good to talk to when I had something on my mind, both for personal matters and regarding L's development or well being. She offered calm, practical advice and is a good listener, which I really appreciated..... I always had the impression she liked to help and that made it much easier for me to ask her to do things. She is a very straightforward person and I also found it easy to communicate with her as an "employee". Vida always respected my wishes as far as L's routine (e.g. sleep times, feed times etc..) was concerned and supported in a non-judegemental way my decisions regarding matters such as breastfeeding, "controlled crying" and setting boundaries. At the same time, I noticed that she would bring her own commons-sense approach...She is very sensible and I trusted her completely to cope in an emergency, although luckily none ever arose! She is totally honest and thoroughly reliable....

As L's father, I agree with all of M's comments. I always found Vida to be good humoured and good fun. L obviously liked her! More importantly for me, M trusted and liked Vida. She was, therefore, more relaxed, used her time off from L without having to worry about him, and this gave her space to do things for herself.... I would have no hesitation in recommending her."
