Nationwide Latch On - Friday 6th August 2010

108 latching on at Wellington Town Hall! Woo Hoo!

A huge thank you to all the women and their supporters who turned up on Friday 6th August at the Council Chambers at Wellington Town Hall for the Big Latch On (BLO) this year. We had a record turn-out of 118 women, and of those, 108 latched on officially at 10:30am - what a fantastic result! The unofficial total nationwide is currently hovering around the 1500 mark (up from 1306 last year - yay!)

This year we had a very special event organised jointly by Mama-Licious, CCDHB and NurtureNZ. We would like to thank Sam and June Jackson, Wellington's Mayor Kerry Prendergast with her 1 year old granddaughter, and TV presenter and breastfeeding mother of twins, Sonia Gray, who did a wonderful job of presenting all the wonderful prizes kindly donated by our fantastic sponsors - THANK YOU.
