I am a passionate advocate for physiological birth and my home business, NurtureNZ, has grown organically from the paid and voluntary work that I was doing amongst the birthing community within Wellington. My journey with birth so far has taught me so much, from my first training as a doula back in the UK through to the wonderful birth experiences of having my own 2 baby girls here in NZ at home, in water with the support of fantastic midwives.
I sell La Bassine birth pools to mums-to-be and midwives within NZ. Now as a Calmbirth® practitioner I feel I have finally found my true calling. It brings together all that I have learned and experienced in birth and I am compelled to share this knowledge and these techniques.
I'm back to work today after the school holidays and I want to say have a happy day to all our wonderful midwives out there. Thank you for all your hard work.
NurtureNZ is closed as from midnight Wednesday 16th April through until Monday 5th May 2014 (International Day of the Midwife!) as Vida is taking a break to be with her family. Vida will be happy to take your orders and answer your emails from early May.
Just for the Mad Month of March 2014, La Bassine PROfessional (purple) Birth Pool Packages are now only $475 including delivery anywhere within NZ. Package includes PRO pool, 5 fitted liners, electric air pump, debris net and floating thermometer (while stocks last). Please note too that whilst the sale continues, liners will not be sold separately in batches of 5.

We both cannot thank you enough for what we got out of the classes with

I loved Vida's enthusiasm and passion for the techniques and empowering parents to embrace the teachings and their own learning.
